As you may know, we have accepted the challenge to participate in Prevent Blindness Texas' Houston Eye Stroll for Vision on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Houston Zoo. Astonishingly, someone goes blind every 11 minutes! Perhaps even more surprising, half of all blindness is preventable!

In Texas alone, 2.5 million people age 40 and over are diagnosed with one of the four most common eye diseases: glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy, and an additional 256,000 people age 40 and over are diagnosed with low vision or blindness. With these ever-growing numbers due to an aging and increasing population, now is time to make eye health and vision priority. Prevent Blindness Texas is the state's leading eye health and safety organization and is dedicated to fighting preventable blindness through its various programs and services, which include eye health and safety information, education initiatives, and vision screenings for both children and adults.

Prevent Blindness Texas needs our help! Please support our team in our efforts to reach our fundraising goal. Every little bit helps so any donation is greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your sight-saving support!
