Kelly B.
Languages: English, Spanish

A full-time biology student at the University of Houston, Kelly is a Para-Optometric Assistant who embraces helping patients as she performs their preliminary tests for the doctors.  She describes working in her position at Premier Vision as, “rewarding because I have the opportunity to build a caring relationship with each patient to ensure they have an informative and comforting visit at the eye doctor.”  While assisting each patient through their pre-test, Kelly ensures she is attentive to each patient’s needs and concerns so that she may communicate them with the doctor.  Kelly has extensive experience performing technical skills with complex instrumentation such as: Humphrey Visual Field, Oculus Keratograph for dry eye, Optos Retinal Imaging and Heidelberg OCT which allows the doctor to see the most internal parts of the eye.

Interested in the field of optometry, Kelly aspires to become an optometrist one day.  When not studying or working at PV, she enjoys spending lots of time with her family and two dogs.
