A Cy-Creek graduate, Alberto is a full-time optician who has three years in the optical industry. Alberto strives to deliver a level of professionalism to each patient as he assists them when selecting their eyeglasses. Taking the time to understand each patient’s eyewear needs and personal style, Alberto knows how to recommend the best look and fit. Aside from getting to know each patient, Alberto works diligently in our lab edging and inspecting their eyeglasses as a lab technician. One of his work goals is to become ABO certified by the summer of 2018.
Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Alberto is also a full-time student at Prairie View A&M University who aspires to become an optometrist one day. When not helping patients, Alberto likes to travel and spend time with friends and family. He also enjoys relaxing bike rides in downtown, listening to music or working out at the gym.
A long time Houstonian, Angelica is the first smile welcoming patients to our office. As the Front Desk Coordinator, Angelica not only greets and checks patients in, she also communicates closely with staff members in order to ensure our office flows smoothly. In addition, she works behind the scenes managing frame and contact lens inventory.
A mother of two beautiful daughters, Angelica enjoys shopping with her girls, reading a good book during her down time or collecting Elvis memorabilia. Angelica considers joining the Premier Vision team a great achievement and her second family.
A Senior Lab Technician, Bridgetta is ABO certified and has over 26 years of experience in the optical industry. She runs a tight ship in our lab to ensure each pair of glasses passes our strict final inspection and receives the Premier Vision stamp of approval. When not fabricating eyeglasses or final inspecting them, Bridgetta enjoys assisting patients select the best fitting frame that enhances their face shape and style without sacrificing comfort. She is also extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of lens technology and enjoys educating patients about the newest products as well as mentoring staff members.
Although Bridgetta has had other great careers, the science of optics and how it relates in the lab making glasses has always remained her first passion. When not working on patient’s eye wear, Bridgetta spends time crafting, sewing, crocheting, oil painting, and cooking for her family and friends.
A native of Connecticut, Carrie is a full time optician who is certified by the American Board of Opticianry. Her passion is working with children, and she especially enjoys seeing our youngest patients smile when they put on their first pair of glasses. Whether it is performing their pre-test or fitting them in glasses, patients of all ages also appreciate Carrie’s warm and caring personality. To ensure everyone loves their new eye wear, Carrie tailors each patient’s vision needs with their unique style. With six years of experience in the optical industry, Carrie is always looking to further her opticianry skills by reading about new technologies or attending continuing education classes.
Outside of Premier Vision, Carrie loves spending time outdoors or camping with her husband and two kids. They also like to give back to the community by volunteering at their local cat shelter on the weekends.
A Lead Optician, Melinda has lived in Houston the majority of her life except while traveling with her husband who served in the military. She has fifteen years experience in the optical industry as an optometric assistant and office manager. She is passionate about providing the best care and experience to each patient. Not only does Melinda take the time to listen carefully to her patients, she also applies that feedback to select the best frame style and lens technology in order to create the perfect pair of glasses. She also is the project leader for managing our inventory so each patient has the best selection of frames. Melinda continues to sharpen her opticianry skills with online training and educational workshops in order to become ABO certified by 2018.
When not assisting patients, Melinda enjoys spending time with her husband and high school sweetheart of twenty years and two amazing daughters. They enjoy taking vacations on cruises, watching movies, and spending time at the softball park. When asked how she feels about joining Premier Vision, Melinda says, “I am really excited to have found such a wonderful team to be a part of.”
A graduate of Klein High School, Nicki genuinely strives for our patients “to feel like we really do care about them”. As a Para-Optometric Assistant, she assists each patient with a compassionate smile while performing their pre-test. Whether it is checking their visual acuities or measuring the pressure in their eyes, Nicki takes the time to explain each test so patients feel comfortable and calm. Nicki is even trained to use some of the most complex equipment in our office such as: Optos Retinal Imaging, Humphrey Visual Field testing and Heidelberg Engineering OCT. In addition to ensuring patients are ready to see the doctor, Nicki also manages our contact lens inventory and helps with front desk duties.
Nicki plans to major in biology and eventually apply to the University Of Houston College Of Optometry as she hopes to become an optometrist one day. When not seeing patients at PV, Nicki enjoys playing string instruments such as the violin, viola and cello. She also loves baking desserts, rock climbing, and ice skating.
Nicole is a native Houstonian who has more than ten years experience as a Senior Optician at PV. She brings excellent customer service skills and a wealth of knowledge in properly fitting patients with the newest technology in lenses as well as the latest fashion in frames. Nicole also leads our inventory team to ensure only the best designs in frames are selected for display.
Nicole graduated from Sam Houston State University with an English teaching degree in 2010 and a Masters degree in Education in 2014. She currently teaches 9th grade English at Aldine High School and has also taught abroad in South Korea and Italy. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and spending time with friends and family.
Rachel is a Lead Optician and Lab Technician who is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and will begin attending the University of Houston College of Optometry the Fall of 2018. Patients appreciate her genuine personality when performing their preliminary tests. After getting to know the patient’s day to day tasks, Rachel helps them select the ideal pair of glasses. Rachel also likes challenging herself to become proficient in the lab fabricating new glasses.
When not attending the University of Texas as a student or working as an optician, Rachel is eager to help her community through school clubs such as POPS (Pre-Optometry Professional Society) and volunteering at a local animal shelter. She enjoys traveling around the world, learning how to cook, and spending time with her dog.
Roxana brings an edge to our practice with her eye for the newest trends in eyeglass styles. As a Senior Optician and Lab Technician, she not only enjoys helping patients select the best fit for their eyewear but also oversees that our lab runs smoothly. Roxana ensures that each pair of glasses passes our strict inspection and patients see clearly with their new glasses. Roxana is also a Team Leader in our practice and ensures patients receive the See The Difference treatment when it comes to exceptional customer service.
Aside from expanding her knowledge as an optician, Roxana attends the University of Houston-Downtown where she is majoring in communications. During her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, and attending festivals and music concerts.
Born and raised in Spring, Texas, Victorino is a part-time Associate Lab Technician who is passionate about ensuring the eye wear of our patients receive the Premier Vision stamp of approval. Known for his dexterous skills and attention to detail, Victorino prides himself on his precision when fabricating, repairing, and inspecting each pair of glasses in our lab. In addition to working as a lab technician, Victorino assists patients when needed by performing their pre-test or adjusting their eyeglasses.
As a full-time student, Victorino loves learning new concepts and aspires to become a mechanical engineer one day. When not studying or working at PV, Victorino’s hobbies are helping his community as an Eagle Scout or spending time to fix old cars.
